Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage procurement processes for project materials, equipment, and services.
  2. Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to approved vendors.
  3. Evaluate supplier quotations based on price, quality, delivery time, and compliance with technical specifications.
  4. Negotiate pricing and contract terms with suppliers to achieve cost savings.
  5. Issue and track Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely delivery of project materials.
  6. Coordinate with engineering, finance, and warehouse teams to ensure procurement aligns with project timelines.
  7. Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor records.
  8. Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  9. Support project teams with procurement planning and cost control.

Requirements

  1. Must have graduated from a reputable higher institution in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field with a minimium of second class upper credit
  2. Strong knowledge of procurement procedures and vendor management.
  3. Experience with technical procurement and project-based purchasing.
  4. Must have completed the mandatory National Youth Service Program (NYSC)
  5. Must not be older than 30 Years as at the date of application.
  6. Proficient in the use of a Computer and Microsoft Office packages
  7. Must possess effective written and oral communication skills.
  8. Must be trainable and must have the ability to learn fast.
  9. Must pay attention to detail and have a strong reading culture.
  10. Must have the ability to write and develop basic documents.
  11. Must have the ability to multitask and handle work pressure.
  12. Must possess excellent clients’ relations skills.
  13. Must have and exhibit the right attitude, culture, and character.
  14. Must be flexible and adaptable to change.
  15. Ability to adhere to procedures and processes.
  16. Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  17. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and procurement systems.
  18. Professional certification such as CIPS is an advantage.
